Baptism
Water baptism is a public proclamation of what Jesus has done for us. Immersion under water is symbolic of Jesus’ death and burial, and being raised out of the water is symbolic of His resurrection, which represents new life in Jesus.
Romans 6:3-4 communicates the beautiful picture of baptism as sharing in Christ’s death and resurrection.:
“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
